ETHICS COMMITTEE
The Ethics Committee at Dr. Hedgewar Hospital ensures that medical research is conducted ethically, following both national and international laws. It consists of seven members, operating in accordance with guidelines from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and is registered with the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Meetings are held every two months or as needed, overseen by Dr. Abhijeetchadge as the member secretary. The committee is currently working towards accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH). During meetings, proposals for research are thoroughly reviewed for scientific, ethical, social, and legal considerations before being approved or denied for conduct at the hospital.
Continuing Medical Education
Our institution prioritizes ongoing learning through CME sessions hosted by every department. Accredited by the Maharashtra Medical Council, these sessions attract 150-200 delegates regularly, including doctors from Nanded, Parbhani, Aurangabad, and Beed.
Research & Drug Trials
Conducting observational studies, case reports, and pilot studies, we present findings in conferences and journals. We represent Marathwada and mid Maharashtra, manage CTMs, and maintain trial-related logs meticulously.
MEDISEARCH Newsletter
Published quarterly since 2010, MEDISEARCH is BAMRS's periodic newsletter featuring research articles by DHR doctors. It highlights advancements across DHR departments, serving as a platform for sharing new findings.

Partnership with NBEMS
Since teaming up with NBEMS, Dr. Hedgewar Hospital has guided 80 students through their postgraduate studies, meeting strict accreditation criteria. This partnership aligns the hospital with recognized medical education standards, connecting it to a network of over 1000 accredited institutions across India. This collaboration addresses the country’s need for specialists and increases the availability of Post Graduate, Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral seats, with 80 graduates contributing to the medical workforce. NBEMS’s standardized mechanisms have raised medical education standards at the hospital, fostering a competitive environment for medical professionals.

"Sevavrati"
“Sevavrati” is someone who is part of a larger group, mostly consisting of enthusiastic senior citizens eager to contribute to the hospital through their time, expertise, and their lives. This idea developed as retired professionals stepped forward to offer their time for a meaningful cause. What began as a small experiment has evolved over the years into the backbone of the hospital, filling gaps and ensuring greater efficiency and volunteerism within the organization.
Dr. B.S. Moonje Eye Bank
Established on 7th January 2018. It is named after Dr. Balkrishna Shivram Munje; a great freedom fighter, first eye surgeon of India and founder of Central Hindu Military Education Society popularly known as Bhonsala Military School. Our eye bank is fully equipped with all the modern machines required for corneal transplant including a State of the Art Specular Microscope. Full time specialist is available as cornea care consultant with enough experience of the corneal transplant surgeries.
